Automated Vehicle Data

This dataset, collected using an instrumented vehicle as part of research by Honda Research Institute, supports Machine Learning applications and research on driver behavior in real-world environments. It includes 104 hours of driving data from the San Francisco Bay Area, recorded using sensors like cameras, LiDAR, GPS, and more. The data captures urban, suburban, and highway driving scenarios and includes a 4-layer annotation of driver behaviors.

  • Data Size: ~130 GB
  • Number of Sessions: 137
  • Sensors: Cameras, LiDAR, GPS, IMU, CAN Bus data
  • Access: Version 1 and 2 available

Telematics Data

This proprietary Honda Telematics dataset contains trip information and vehicle attributes collected from vehicles in the US. The data helps explore in-vehicle behaviors, safety device usage, and vehicle attributes for research applications. It is cleansed and transformed for easy use, ensuring no Personally Identifiable Information (PII) is included.

  • Data Size: Over 1 GB
  • Number of Rows: 25 million+
  • Use Case: Driver behavior analysis, fleet management optimization, predictive vehicle maintenance, insurance risk assessment, and fuel efficiency monitoring.

v2x Data

Part of the US 33 Smart Corridor initiative, this dataset captures real-time data from specially instrumented vehicles and smart intersections. It provides valuable insights into vehicle-to-everything (V2X) communication, including Basic Safety Messages (BSM) and Signal Phase and Timing (SPaT) data for vehicle safety research.

  • Data Size: Large-scale, millions of rows
  • Sources: Smart Corridor vehicles, smart intersections, and remote vehicles
  • Key Tables: Summary table (trip data), Host table (vehicle state), SPaT table (signal phase and timing), Evt Warn table (warning events), RV BSM table (basic safety messages from remote vehicles)
  • Use Case: Vehicle safety enhancement, ADAS development, urban mobility planning, real-time traffic management, and emergency vehicle prioritization.
