This capstone project, undertaken as a collaboration with a team at Carnegie Mellon University’s Master of Science in Product Management (MSPM) program focuses on designing a comprehensive Go-To-Market (GTM) strategy for 99P Labs. By reimagining how cutting-edge research can be communicated and adopted, the initiative seeks to transform academic findings into actionable, real-world insights—ultimately driving broader impact and innovation.
The system operates through a structured, data-driven approach encompassing stakeholder mapping, business model exploration, and iterative experimentation. Stakeholder mapping clarifies the diverse needs and preferences of both internal and external audiences, while a comprehensive business model analysis pinpoints key partners, value propositions, and sustainability pathways that guide the lab’s approach to real-world adoption. As the project progresses, iterative experimentation and feedback loops help refine communication formats and validate each step, ensuring that 99P Labs’ findings resonate meaningfully with various audiences.
A key advantage of this solution is its capacity to simplify research dissemination without undermining the depth and rigor of the underlying work. Rather than relying on static PDF reports or lengthy publications, the GTM strategy leverages dynamic channels—such as short-form videos, engaging infographics, and podcasts—to enhance accessibility. Early experiments revealed that a significant majority of users preferred short-form video content, demonstrating the effectiveness of visual storytelling in bringing complex research to life and encouraging broader engagement.
Extensive prototyping and user interviews inform each iteration, allowing the team to gauge stakeholder reception and continually optimize content presentation. Tools such as InVideo and SciSpace expedite the process of repurposing dense research outputs into easily digestible segments, ensuring that varied audience segments—ranging from corporate partners to academic researchers—can absorb vital information quickly. This approach establishes 99P Labs as a dynamic intermediary, bridging the gap between leading-edge discoveries and pragmatic industry applications.
